Thank you for visiting our new web site. It is our hope that the new look and the presentation of our ministry is appealing to you. We invite you to comment on our web site and any part of our ministry by going to our contact page and leaving a comment.

Our ministry, coaching/consulting with churches, has not changed. We have made some adjustments in how we go about approaching church coaching/consulting. demoWe have prioritized three coaching/consulting areas--preparation (a move toward leadership readiness), leadership (a move toward the search and calling of a pastor), and ministry (a move toward church health which includes coaching/consulting in how a church experiences intervention of the church life-cycle). These priorities are the result of the experiences with dozens of churches and pastors.

We are excited about what God is doing world-wide in developing healthy churches. Many churches are experiencing a need for renewal. Those familiar with the church life-cycle know that when a church beings to plateau or decline intervention is necessary for the church to reverse the trends.

MinistryConnect is committed to helping churches through coaching/consulting experience renewed vitality and growth. Many pastors and church leaders are not equiped or trained to lead the church through this renewal process. Chillicothe FBC Calls Senior Pastor

First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, Missouri, called Rob Hurtgen as Senior Pastor.

demoMinistryConnect had the privilege of serving as coach to the Pastor Search Committee through the entire process. God has blessed the church with a warm and gifted pastor and we are grateful for the privilege of serving the church.

TheSHAPE

Purpose:
The purpose of the TheSHAPE© is to help ministers know themselves more completely as people who have been gifted by God to serve Him in a particular ministry or job fit. It is also useful to the Pastor/Church Staff Search Committee in understanding and interpreting the candidate's match to the church's needs.

Description:
The TheSHAPE© is a multi-construct assessment tool that clarifies many different aspects of who a person is. We believe that until we discover how God made us and where He wants to use us, we will not feel completely fulfilled. Basically, the TheSHAPE© discloses understandings in three broad areas: 1) Approach to ministry: How does one approach ministry? How does one solve problems? What part is a person motivated to play in a project? How proactive or responsive is the person in relationship with others on the job? How does the individual relate to other people? 2)Ministry Gifts: What are this person's God-given strengths? What is the individual naturally good at? 3) Ministry Values: When a person approaches a task, what types of things are important? What is it that the individual wants to have happen as a result of his/her own efforts? What things motivate the person and what things demotivate the person? A complete Interpretation Guide is provided with each assessment report.

Outcomes:
As a result of the Interpretation Guide ministers will be able to explain their own individual TheSHAPE© graphs and scales. Every individual will be able to explain how good the fit is to his/her present place of ministry.

Procedures:
Order The SHAPE© from MinistryConnect and complete the assessment online. It will take about 1.5 hours to take and is comprised of 326 questions that can be answered with a range of scores from 1-7.

Schedule:
Because this is an individual experience, ministers take the TheSHAPE© experience and self-interpret using the Interpretation Guide in the program on their own schedule.

TheSHAPE© is available online! Call MinistryConnect (573.690.5562 or 573.291.9800) if you would like to take TheSHAPE. A report (in the form of an Acrobat PDF file) will be e-mailed to you within 48 hours.
