New Approach, Same Purpose

March 2, 2012

Thank you for visiting our new web site. It is our hope that the new look and the presentation of our ministry is appealing to you. We invite you to comment on our web site and any part of our ministry by going to our contact page and leaving a comment.

Our ministry, coaching/consulting with churches, has not changed. We have made some adjustments in how we go about approaching church coaching/consulting. demoWe have prioritized three coaching/consulting areas--preparation (a move toward leadership readiness), leadership (a move toward the search and calling of a pastor), and ministry (a move toward church health which includes coaching/consulting in how a church experiences intervention of the church life-cycle). These priorities are the result of the experiences with dozens of churches and pastors.

Church Health and Renewal

March 2, 2012

We are excited about what God is doing world-wide in developing healthy churches. Many churches are experiencing a need for renewal. Those familiar with the church life-cycle know that when a church beings to plateau or decline intervention is necessary for the church to reverse the trends.

MinistryConnect is committed to helping churches through coaching/consulting experience renewed vitality and growth. Many pastors and church leaders are not equiped or trained to lead the church through this renewal process. If you are interested in having professional assistance in leading the church through this process, contact MinistryConnect by e-mail at verlyn@ministryconnect.net or by phone at 573.690.5562.

Church Profile

Purpose:
The foundation of healthy partnerships between ministry leaders and churches is complete, comprehensive information disclosure from both entities. Thus, one of the reasons for the Minister Profile and the Church Profile. The Minister Profile and Church Profile are designed to complement each other in such a way that real matching can occur. The Church Profile is designed to lead the church through a process of self-analysis and evaluation. This process may be the most significant aspect of this profile.

Description:
Different sections are included in the Church Profile. Each section is designed to lead the church through self-analysis and evaluation.
          General Church Information Section
          Church Doctrinal Section
          Church Philosophy Section
          Candidate Profile Section
          Candidate Ministry Experience Section
          Candidate Ministry Philosophy Section
          Financial Section
Included with the Pastor Search Guide is the Pastor Search Survey (paper version). The survey helps the search committee determine the church desires, values and priorities. The survey is a very important part of the church process in completing the Church Profile.

The church will complete a self-analysis process that sets the stage for the calling of their pastor or staff minister.

Procedures:

The church decides to seek coaching assistance. MinistryConnect begins the partnership with the church by coaching the church through the process of completing the Church Profile and other materials. This can be done by using the Pastor Search Guide and by personal coaching from an experienced and trained coach. Once the profile is complete, the matching of a ministry leader to the church's Church Profile can begin. MinistryConnect can use the existing ministry leader candidates from the church or can provide additional ministry leader profiles from other sources. The church calls God's leader to fulfill its vision for ministry.

Schedule:

The schedule will vary from church to church depending on the church's history, needs and vision. The process is designed to take as little as 90 days or as much as 9 months. MinistryConnect's expert coach can assist the church in deciding what time schedule is best for the church.
